Elks perfect after round-robin

The Lethbridge Elks wrapped up the round-robin portion of the the Medicine Hat Moose Monarchs Baseball Tournament with a perfect 3-0 record.

The Elks posted a pair of wins during action Saturday afternoon and will play the second place team – to-be-determined – today.

Lethbridge kicked off the day with a 7-6 win over the Calgary Redbirds and wrapped up the day with a 10-2 decision over the Saskatoon Giants.

In the win over the Redbirds, Lukas Ankermann and Ty Penner each had two hits while Wyatt Tomalty earned the win.

Raleigh Ferby picked up the save.

Ferby led the Elks at the plate in the second game, going 4-for-5 with two doubles and a triple.

Torrin Vaselenak also chipped in at the dish, going 2-for-4 with two doubles

Lukas Ankermann got the win and Vaselenak got the save.
